Biometric Identity Verification Consent
Biometric data is sensitive information under the Privacy Act. You must see this disclosure and consent on a standalone screen before any capture. The image and template are deleted once the check resolves.
- Biometric information (your face image) is collected and compared against an identity document.
- The provider and processing country are stated to you at the point of capture.
- The image and template are deleted on completion; only the boolean result, a reference ID, and a timestamp are retained.
- If there is no match, you may use the manual review path instead.
- A non-biometric manual review path is always offered, so declining the face check never blocks you from proceeding.
Consenting to biometric verification is voluntary. You may choose the manual document review path at any time.
